Insurance and Bonding
We provide contractors and owners with insurance coverage assessment and litigation support, including claims against insurers to satisfy damages awarded for defective work. We also secure coverage for defense of personal injury and defective work claims, and defend defective workmanship claims as counsel hired by the client’s insurer.
Kotz Sangster also assists contractors with legal issues arising out of surety bond indemnity agreements. In this regard, we defend indemnity claims made by sureties against construction company owners and executives, and we help contractors develop internal systems to manage the risk arising out of the general indemnity agreements they sign with sureties.
