Jovan Dragovic

Jovan Dragovic is an attorney practicing in Kotz Sangster Wysocki P.C.'s Birmingham office. Mr. Dragovic is a member of the firm’s Health Care Law Practice Group. Mr. Dragovic concentrates his professional activities in the areas of health care business transactions and litigation. More specifically, he counsels and assists clients who are physicians, physician groups, professional entities and ancillary health care service providers and suppliers on the various aspects of health care law as they impact our clients’ valuable business interests. This includes advice and assistance in navigating often complex compliance issues with respect to the panoply of federal and state health care laws and regulations, employment and independent contractor relationships, as well as the corporate and transactional issues that arise in structuring business transactions and document preparation, review and analysis.

Mr. Dragovic is also engaged by the firm’s clients in the litigation of controversies and disputes among health care industry product and service providers and suppliers. His work on the transactional side of health care law provides deeper insights into controversies that arise after the deal has been consummated. A sampling of client matters which Mr. Dragovic has managed for the firm include creative and successful results and resolutions in cases involving shareholder and entity-member disputes, contract and commercial litigation matters arising out of purchases, leases, professional service contracts, and mergers and acquisitions among closely held health care entities, billing/collection and reimbursement issues and defense of third party payer audits of health care providers and suppliers.

Mr. Dragovic also lends support to the firm’s Risk Management/Insurance Litigation Practice Group, drawing on his experience in litigating professional liability matters.
