Mr. Barbour is a shareholder at Kotz Sangster. His practice areas include commercial real estate transactions and litigation. His transactional real estate experience is comprised of document review and preparation, assisting clients in due diligence review including title, survey and environmental matters. Mr. Barbour represents a number of clients in the hospitality industry and has extensive experience in all phases of the acquisition/sale process including financing, liquor license transfers, franchising and licensing.

His real estate litigation experience includes foreclosures, quiet title actions, inverse condemnation and zoning. He also has handled a significant array of commercial litigation matters including breach of contract, uniform commercial code, restraint of trade, confidentiality and non-competition agreements.

Mr. Barbour has extensive labor and employment experience, including collective bargaining, contract review and drafting, grievance arbitration, FLMA disputes and unfair labor practice litigation. His employment law experience includes disputes involving age, race, gender, disability, national origin, height and weight discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, constructive discharge and violation of public policy. He has considerable experience negotiating employment separation agreements.

Mr. Barbour is an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association and serves on the Employment Panel and the Commercial Panel. He also serves as an Arbitrator in home buyer/home seller disputes. In 1998, he was appointed as a Special Assistant Attorney General.
